How to Improve Your Complexion for Men thumbnail
Men can improve their complexion without spending hours primping.

There are many cosmetic, skin care and anti-aging products for women. They take up aisles in grocery, department and drug stores, and advertisements for such products and services show up on Web feeds, in magazines and mailers. Few of these products focus on skin care for men, but men fall victim to the same complexion problems women do. Contrary to common opinion, men can use many materials to improve their complexion, and creating healthier skin does not require a long, complicated daily process. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Wash your face in the morning and at night. Cleansing helps remove dirt and oil that can block pores and lead to pimples and other blemishes. It also eliminates dead skin cells, leaving your skin with a healthier, fresher look.

    • 2

Apply sunscreen every morning and re-apply throughout the day as needed. The American Academy of Dermatology suggests wearing sunscreen every day to help prevent damage from sun including wrinkles, spots and even cancer.

    • 3

Apply moisturizer. For morning use, look for a combination sunscreen and moisturizer. After washing at night, apply a moisturizer with retinoids, peptides or growth factors to help repair damage from weather, age and environment, according to the American Academy of Dermatology.

    • 4

Eat a healthy combination of foods to get important vitamins. Vitamin A, B2, B3, C and E all help keep skin healthy. Foods such as green and orange vegetables, eggs, dairy, liver, nuts and citrus fruits should make up some of your diet.

    • 5

Reduce stress. Dermatologists indicate that stress can cause acne flare-ups and exacerbate other skin ailments such as rosacea and psoriasis.

Tips & Warnings

  • Good skin care does not have to add a lot of time to your daily routine. The entire process is likely to take less than two minutes.
