How to Clean Scuff Marks on a Soccer Ball
Skittering across grass and mud, propelled by cleats that may not always be perfectly clean, soccer balls easily become scuffed and sullied. Though dirt and grime are inevitable, they can decrease the ball’s lifespan and ultimately its playability. Wipe off the soccer ball with a damp cloth. Scuff marks and superficial dirt can often be removed with a simple wipe-down.

Dry the ball with a clean dry cloth and inspect it.

Mix a mild, bleach free dish or hand soap with warm water.

Dip a sponge or cloth into the soapy water and scrub stubborn scuffs away.

Rinse away soapy residue with a damp cloth.

Dry the ball with a dry cloth.

Tips & Warnings
A synthetic leather cleaner or an eraser sponge can also be useful in removing tough stains from your soccer ball.
Do not use a hose to clean your soccer ball or attempt to submerge it in water. Either of these techniques could lead to weakening and damaging the stitching.
Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and abrasives as they could damage the ball.
