How to Fix Torn Awnings
Awnings are made with canvas. They are durable and will last for years. But if your camper, recreational vehicle or home window awnings are more than a few years old, the canvas can weaken and tear. You really can't sew canvas that has weakened with good results. The solution is to apply awning repair tape. It is a super sticky tape that will bond the fibers of the canvas together without sewing. It will prevent the tear from getting worse and if done properly you won't be able to see the tear at all.
