How to Build My Own Micro-light Trailer
Micro-Lite is a type of enclosed cargo trailer. One model of Micro-Lite trailer you can build is called the Car-Go Lite. Making a Micro-Lite inspired trailer can be done by converting a standard flatbed trailer. To do this you first need to determine how big to make the enclosure. You can make the enclosure for your trailer by using standard sheets of plywood that you can obtain at a home improvement store.

-
2
Measure and cut a second plywood board to 6 feet. Repeat this step and cut two more 6-foot lengths of plywood board.
-
-
3
Measure and cut four 2-by-4 boards to 4 feet.
-
4
Place a cut 2-by-4 board flush on each end of the two 6-foot plywood boards. Secure each boards to the plywood with the 1 1/2-inch deck screws using the power drill.
-
5
Position the 4-foot piece vertically at the front of the flatbed trailer. Place the two 6-foot pieces on each side.
-
6
Drive the 1 1/2-inch deck screws into the 4-foot piece of plywood and into the 2-by-4 boards that are at the ends of the 6-foot plywood boards.
-
7
Attach the plywood boards to the trailer by using an L-brackets and 1 1/2-inch screws. Drive the screws into the L-brackets with the power drill.
-
8
Place the remaining 6-foot length of plywood on top of the trailer walls. Secure the plywood for the top to the 2-by-4 support boards on the inside of the trailer with an L-bracket.
-
9
Attach the remaining 4-foot length of plywood onto the rear of the enclosed trailer by using hinges and a latch. Attach the hinges at the bottom of the trailer and the latch at the top. This will allow you to use the door as a ramp.
