How to Do a Curvature Perm Wrap
A curvature perm wrap is one of the most natural-looking perm waves available. The way the curls are wrapped around the head mimic the natural growth of the hair. If a person had naturally curly hair, it would curl along the same patterns. The only difference between a curvature perm wrap and a regular perm is the way that the rollers are rolled around the head. All other procedures are the same. Does this Spark an idea?

- Comb
- Hair clips
- Gloves
- Perm rollers
- Perm picks
- Perm lotion
- Plastic bag
- Towel
- Neutralizer lotion

Comb the hair until it is soft and smooth. Identify the natural growth pattern of the hair by inspecting the scalp. Hair grows down from the top of the head and up from the bottom. However, each person has a slightly different hair pattern.

Divide the hair into sections following the natural growth of the hair. You should end up with about five or six main sections. Use hair clips to hold the sections in place.

Divide the main sections in to two-inch wide sections. Wrap these smaller sections around the perm rollers. Roll in the direction that the hair naturally flows. Use perm picks to hold the rollers in place.

Apply a line of perm lotion to the top and bottom of each hair roll.

Place a plastic bag over the head to protect the hair and prevent drips. Allow the lotion to sit on the hair for about 90 minutes, then remove the plastic bag. Keep the bag in place longer for tighter curls.

Rinse the hair and head with the curlers still in place. Dry the hair with a towel.

Cover the rollers with neutralizer lotion just like you did for the perm lotion. Allow the neutralizer to sit for about 20 minutes.

Unroll the rollers gently, so as not to damage the hair. Start from the bottom and work toward the top of the head.

Rinse the hair with water. Dry and style the hair as normal.
