You can create the illusion of seaweed using simple fabrics and items, vines or even real seaweed in your decorations.       Use green streamers or cut strips of green fabric. Crumble the streamers or pieces of fabric into a ball to create a wrinkled look. Cut them to varying lengths and tape them up on the walls or on the ceiling. Also try using varying shades of green.

      Collect green vines from outdoors or purchase some at a local greenhouse. Hang them on the ceiling, around door frames or against the walls. You can also decorate the windows with vines.

      Buy fresh seaweed at your local fish supply store. Arrange the seaweed on a large piece of poster board and let it dry. The seaweed will adhere to the poster board upon drying. Paint, draw or glue other decorations around the seaweed.
