How to Hide Ugly Walls and Curtains
Wall paint color and curtain style are a matter of personal taste. You may like lace curtains and pink walls, while your friend finds the combination a bit too tacky. Painting your walls a new color and installing new curtains takes time and money. Hiding your curtains and walls is a much cheaper way to redecorate a room. Give your room a new look with inexpensive decorations or items found around your home. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Hang up a large piece of artwork over the wall you want to hide. Artwork may not look appropriate in certain rooms depending on the theme and purpose of the room. For instance, a large movie poster might look strange in the kitchen.
-
2
Place furniture in front of the wall or curtains. In a bedroom, put a tall, wide dresser against the wall. In the living room, try a bookcase or two.

3
Hang a sheet of fabric over the wall or window. Most craft stores will cut a sheet of fabric to match your wall's measurements. A blanket or attractive tapestry works well, too.
-
4
Cover the ugly walls with new wallpaper. If you're renting, ask your landlord's permission.
