How to Rasterize Text in PSE
Text is rendered by default as a vector graphic in Photoshop Elements, Adobe's consumer-level photo-editing program. To rasterize text in Photoshop Elements (PSE), perform the “Simplify Text” action. This action creates a duplicate, rasterized layer. You can apply effects and styles to the new layer, but the text is not "live," meaning you cannot edit the text by typing or applying font styles.
