How to Record a Webinar Presentation From Your Computer

You can download a video production tool from the Internet to record a webinar presentation that you can view at a later time on your computer. Software such as Replay Video Capture, Huelix ScreenPlay and CamStudio can create high-quality videos that you can save as MPEG-2, WMV (Windows Media Video) and other file formats on your hard drive. Be sure to select a video production tool that's compatible with your system and internal audio card.

      Select a video production tool from the Internet and install it on your computer. Double-click on the installation icon and follow the Wizard's instructions for installing the software. After the installation is complete, look for the video production tool icon on your desktop. Double-click on it to launch the software.

      Setup the audio recording source and run an audio test. For example, if you installed the video production tool, “Replay Video Capture” on your computer, click the “OK” button after the dialog box appears on the display screen.

      Click on the "Test" button. When the video production tool finish running the audio test on your computer, it will display the audio source that you should use. Click inside the check box next to “Use Vista Audio Recording (Vista computers only)” if you're running Windows Vista on your computer. Click the “OK” button.

      Click on the “Settings” icon. A dialog box will appear on your screen. Click on the “Recommended Settings” button. Scroll down the list until you see “Medium Quality” and click on it to adjust the video settings. Click the “OK” button when you're done and return back to the main screen.

      Click on the “Get Window” icon. Click on the check box next to “Full Screen” under “Recording Options” if you want to record the webinar presentation on full screen. Or, move the flashing blue and pink boxes to define the recording region that you want to record. When you are finished, click on the “Record” button. In a few seconds the video production tool status will change to “Recording.”

      Click on the “Stop” button when you have finished recording the webinar presentation. Click on the “View” folder to watch the webinar video on your computer. Move the “Volume” slider left or right to adjust the sound. If you need to pause the webinar video while you are watching it, click on the “Pause” button.
