How Do I Get Into Harder Dungeons in "Mabinogi"?
"Mabinogi" is a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game developed by devCAT, a game developer owned by the game's publisher Nexon. The game features a hand-painted art style and content inspired by ancient Celtic and Welsh mythology. To add replayability to in-game dungeons, the game also features an innovative dungeon system that allows players to alter the difficulty and layout of the pre-made dungeons in the game. Players who have beaten a dungeon at the game's normal difficulty level can access more difficult versions of the dungeon using specific game items.

1
Enter the dungeon you want to play by stepping up to the goddess statue at the dungeon entrance and placing any item on the square altar in front of the statue. Your character and the characters of any other players with you in front of the altar will enter the "Normal" dungeon, which is the standard difficulty level.
-
2
Explore the dungeon, fighting monsters and collecting treasures from chests and defeated enemies. Certain enemies will drop treasure items known as "Dungeon Passes" that allow access to the next highest difficulty for that dungeon; these items are also found in the chests located at the end of some dungeons. The monster that drops a pass changes with each dungeon and each difficulty level.

Return to the entrance to the dungeon and stand before the goddess statue. Place the dungeon pass for that dungeon that corresponds to the difficulty level you wish to play onto the altar. Your character and the characters of other players who stand in front of the altar with you will enter the dungeon at the higher difficulty level indicated by your dungeon pass.

4
Battle monsters and explore the dungeon to receive the pass to the next difficulty level. Dungeons have "Basic," "Intermediate" and "Advanced" difficulties above the "Normal" difficulty, and certain dungeons have a "Hard" difficulty for players with cumulative levels over 250 that is accessed by placing a "Hard Dungeon Pass" for the dungeon on the altar of a special "Hardmode" goddess statue in a lobby that branches off from the main dungeon entrance.

Tips & Warnings
An item known as the "Unrestricted Dungeon Pass" can be purchased from the Item Shop for 700 NX, the game currency. When used, the player selects the specific dungeon and difficulty level he wants the pass to be and the pass changes to a dungeon pass of the appropriate type. There are no party size restrictions on dungeon passes created with an unrestricted pass.
Standard dungeon passes limit the number of players that can access a dungeon using the pass. Passes that state "For One" are solo passes, while passes that state another number may have up to that many players in the party that uses the pass.
