How to Filter the "See Relationship" in Facebook

Keep your relationship status as private or as public as you want using Facebook profile settings.

Whether your "relationship status" is complicated or you’re single and ready to mingle, you might not want to reveal this personal information on your Facebook profile for everyone to see. Filtering your relationship status on Facebook is very easy. The new "Friends" list makes it easy to separate your friends into different categories for filtering. You can also modify who can see your relationship status. Before you set the filter, make sure you have divided your friends into the appropriate lists.

Instructions

1. Sign into your Facebook account and go to your profile page. Select the “Edit Profile” button located on the top-right of your profile.

2. Click on the “Friends and Family” tab from the menu on the left. Click the friend symbol beside the “Relationship Status” field. This will open a drop-down menu where you can customize who can see your current relationship status.

3. Click the option in the list that appeals to you. You can choose to only reveal your relationship status with yourself, the general public, friends only -- or choose a custom group of people using the Friends list option.

4. Press the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen when you have completed the change.
