How to Make a Wreath for Your Hair Like Aphrodite
Aphrodite was the Greek goddess associated with love and beauty. She was frequently depicted as wearing a wreath of myrtle in her hair. You can create an Aphrodite-style wreath for the head using silk myrtle leaves and touches that also symbolize the goddess. Pink roses represent love and Aphrodite. Pearls, which represent her birthplace in the sea, are strung around the wreath. Using fake flowers keeps the costs down and makes the wreath more durable and wearable.

1
Measure the circumference of the wreath wearer's head. Cut off a piece of floral wire to match that measurement. Bend the wire into a circle shape. Touch the ends together and bind them with green floral tape. Check the fit on the head and make any adjustments.

2
Cover the entire wire circle with one layer of green floral tape. Check that there aren't any spots of wire peeking through. Place the wreath on a wire rack in preparation of putting on the leaves. Raising the wreath keeps the leaves from getting crushed against the table.

3
Begin attaching the myrtle leaves. Start the first leaf near the junction of the two ends of wire. Position it facing up with its stem flush to the wire. Tape the stem into place. Continue attaching leaves in this manner all the way around the circle.
-
4
Turn the wreath over so that the leaves point down. Tape on a new layer of leaves to the frame with the new leaves facing up. Continue all the way around the circle.
-
5
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for two to three more layers of each side of leaves. Position the new leaves in slightly different locations than the preceding layers so that textured layers develop. Make sure the taped ends are well hidden within the other leaves.
-
6
Add silk rose buds when you are happy with the level of leaves you've built up. Nestle the rose buds within the leaves, taping down the end to secure, with the flowers peeking out from the greenery. Space the rose buds out evenly and position them all pointing up in the same direction.

7
Drape a strand of fake pearls around the circle, weaving it among the leaves. Tape it down every couple of inches to loosely secure it. This allows for the chain to droop slightly for a cascade effect. Wear the wreath as desired.
