How to Convert Bitmap to JPEGs in Batches
Digital images come in many different formats. Digital cameras produce RAW or JPEG files, Microsoft Paint creates BMP files by default, web graphics are usually displayed as GIFs and programs like Photoshop have the ability to save in additional formats, such as PNG or TIFF.
No format is exactly alike. Each affects the picture's size, compression and quality differently.
Sometimes it necessary to convert a batch of pictures from one file format to another. For instance, Microsoft Paint images will be large, uncompressed BMP files. To upload or send these images through the Internet, they should be converted to a smaller, but high quality format. A JPEG file would be perfect in this situation. Converting a batch of images is an easy task that basic computer users can do. Many file converters are available online for download.
