How to Reapply for a Job After Quitting

Quitting a job, then deciding you wanted to reapply for it, may seem like a mistake that is impossible to rectify. However, with the right etiquette and approach, you may be able to appease your previous employers and return to your old position. In this situation, humility and politeness are your most important tools.

Instructions

1. Prepare a speech to present to your previous employers explaining the reason you left and expressing remorse if necessary. Taking notes beforehand on what you wish to say will help you seem more sincere when you request your old job back.

2. Apologize for any conflicts or perceived wrongs that exist between you and your previous employers and coworkers. Even if you don't believe you were incorrect, if you left on bad terms, you have little hope of being rehired unless you apologize.
