While the free version of the IMVU chat service is supported by advertisement, it is possible to interact with your friends on the website without having to load and view banner ads by upgrading your guest account to a VIP one.

Launch the IMVU application by clicking on the "IMVU" shortcut in your Start menu. Buying a VIP membership is only possible if the application is installed and running.

Load the IMVU homepage in your Web browser and click on "VIP."

Click on "Select a plan" under the membership plan you wish to purchase.

Select a payment method and click on the "Checkout" button.

Fill out the form with your personal details and complete the transaction. IMVU will now stop displaying banner ads until your VIP membership expires.
