Fix screen problems with my Motorola phone by resetting it.

The best way to fix a blurred screen on your Motorola phone is to perform a "soft reset" on the phone. In a soft reset, you reset the phone, but do not lose any data. However, if you perform the procedure and the screen still blurred, you should perform a "hard reset," which erases all data and restores the phone to it's factory condition.

Instructions

  1. Perform Soft Reset

    • 1

Remove the battery cover and battery from the back of the device.

    • 2

Wait several seconds for the phone to reset itself.

    • 3

Replace the battery and battery cover. Power on the device by pressing the "Power" button.

    Perform Hard Reset

    • 4

      Tap "Menu," "Settings" and "Privacy."

    • 5

Tap "Factory Data Reset" and "Reset Phone." The phone will automatically reset itself and start up again.

    • 6

Navigate the phone to see if the screen is still blurry. If the screen is still blurry, have the phone repaired by your mobile provider. Dial "611" to reach your current mobile provider and to obtain that provider's various repair options.
