How to Make a Jingle Bell
Jingle bells add a festive feel to the home or office. The easiest option is to make a jingle bell out of a section of empty egg carton. You could also make multiple bells, tie them together and hang them from the door knob with a ribbon. The project is simple enough that children can make these cute little bells. The finished result is grown-up enough, however, to hang just about anywhere.

1
Cut around each cup in the egg carton to create single cups. Cardboard cartons are easier to paint than styrofoam cartons. Use the tip of the scissors or the tip of a pen to poke a hole in the bottom of the cup.

2
Paint each cup in the color of your choice. Allow the coat of paint to dry and then add a second coat of paint. Once the second coat of paint is completely dry, drizzle a thin line of white glue in any design and sprinkle glitter over top. Set aside for 24 hours to allow the glue to set.

Cut a piece of 1-inch wide ribbon that's 6 inches long. Thread a small bell onto the end of the ribbon and knot the end to hold the bell in place. Thread the ribbon through the hole in the bottom of the cup and pull slowly until the bell hits the bottom and the ribbon is pulled up as far as it will go. Turn the cup upside down and tie a second knot just above the outside of the cup.

Tie an ornament hook onto the loose end of the ribbon to create an ornament. You can also grab three to five completed egg carton bells, place the ribbon together and tie a loose knot at the top to create a bunch of bells to hang over a door knob.
