How to Recover Deleted Email From the Comcast SmartZone

Comcast subscribers can recover emails that were accidentally deleted through the Comcast Smartzone Web portal. The option to recover deleted emails from your "Trash" folder means that you can recover any message deleted from one of the other folders accessible from the Smart Zone interface. If you frequently clear out your Inbox of unwanted messages and are prone to inadvertently deleting messages, this functionality provides an extra layer of security for preventing the complete deletion of potentially important messages.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a Web browser window and go to the Smart Zone home page at Comcast.com.

    • 2

Click the "Sign In Right Now" link at the right side of the window.

    • 3

Type your username and password into the fields at the right side of the window, and then click "Sign In."

    • 4

Click the "Email" tab at the top of the window.

    • 5

Click the "Trash" folder in the column at the left side of the window.

    • 6

Search through your deleted messages, and then check the box to the left of the message that you want to recover.

    • 7

Click the "Move" button in the toolbar above the message window.

    • 8

Click the folder to which you want to recover the message, and then click "OK."

Tips & Warnings

  • If you use a third-party email management program, such as Microsoft Outlook, and deleted your message within that program, then you can recover the message by searching through the "Deleted Items" folder within the program. Messages that are deleted or moved after being downloaded to a third-party mail program are only moved or deleted within the program.
