How to Manually Troubleshoot the Tobi Steamer
The Tobi steamer is a portable wrinkle remover for your clothing and other fabrics. The manufacturer claims that a Tobi steamer works like a professional steaming machine, only in your own home. Since the unit utilizes steam to function, it’s wise to use caution and keep it in an upright position during use. If you experience smaller issues with your steamer related to its performance, you can usually troubleshoot them yourself without getting it fixed professionally. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Plug the steamer securely into the wall outlet, or check to see if a circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown if the steamer won’t turn on at all.
-
2
Tighten all of the connections and hoses if the steamer leaks; only steam articles when it is in an upright position. Leaning it back or tipping it horizontally may cause leaks.
-
-
3
Pull the telescopic pole out so it is fully extended if steam isn’t flowing through the hoses freely during use.
-
4
Watch closely to ensure the nozzle makes contact with your garment when removing wrinkles, if your results aren’t what you expected.

5
Clean mineral deposits from inside the tank if your area has hard water and the unit isn’t producing enough steam. Unplug the steamer, disconnect the hose and wait for the steamer to cool down. Mix 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water together and pour the solution into the tank. Leave it for 40 minutes and then drain the vinegar mixture into the tub. Repeat the process with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
