1
Cut a semicircle from the netting using scissors. The straight edge of the semicircle will be gathered to give the headpiece a curved 3-D shape. A semicircle with a 10-inch straight edge will cover just one side of the face, so adjust sizing accordingly for a more dramatic look.
-
2
Gather the straight edge of the semicircle to give the piece some volume, matching the length of the gathered straight edge to the length of the comb bridge.
-
-
3
Slip the gathered netting through the comb prongs so the netting and comb are facing away from each other. There should be about one-quarter inch to half-inch of netting excess gathered on the underside of the comb.
-
4
Apply hot glue to the underside bridge of the comb using the glue gun. Adhere the netting excess to the glued underside bridge of the comb. Let it dry completely.
-
5
Slip the comb into the hair on one side of the head to place the bird cage headpiece. Manipulate the netting with your fingers to create desired look.
