How to Use Virtual Slideshow for a Magazine Catalog
A virtual slideshow allows you to create a way for users to look through a set of pictures, similar to the way they would in a magazine or book. Some websites actually use these virtual slideshows to allow customers to look through magazines and catalogs online. If you want to create an online magazine-style catalog for your business, a virtual slideshow allows you to either transfer an existing print catalog or create a new one for your website.

1
Scan any pictures you want to use in your catalog or the actual catalog pages if you're using an existing print catalog.
-
2
Create catalog pages in a photo editing software if you didn't scan in preexisting pages. Include the pictures, prices and descriptions for each item. Save each page in the order in which they should appear in the catalog to make putting it together easier for you.
-
-
3
Open the virtual slideshow software and create a new project. Some programs offer a quick-click option on the opening page, while others require you to access a new project through the menu.
-
4
Upload your scanned or created page images into the project. If you saved them with file names that indicated their order, you'll have an easier time organizing them in order.
-
5
Select any special effects that you want to use in your slideshow from the software menu. Most of the options involve how the pages turn, such as a classic page turn, fading in or sliding up or down.
-
6
Save the project to your hard drive to use on your website or in emails to your customers.
