How to Recover Unsaved Apple Pages
Pages is Apple's version of a word processor that you can use to create and edit different types of documents. It has features which are present in a typical word processing applications, such as the ability to save a document in different file formats. If you accidentally delete an unsaved Pages document, you can recover it with Time Machine. Time Machine is the Mac OS X built-in backup application.

Select the "Time Machine" icon from the dock to launch the application. The Time Machine window appears.

Use the navigation options to find the Pages document that you want to recover. For example, click the back "Arrow" button on the bottom right side of the window to navigate to the time that you knew the document existed. Another alternative method is to enter the name of the document into a Time Machine Finder window, then click the back "Arrow" button until the file appears.

Select the Pages document when it appears, then click the "Restore" button at the bottom right corner of the window. The system automatically places a copy of the Pages document on your Mac's desktop.
