1. Measure around the widest part of your head, just above the ears and eyebrows, to the nearest 1/8 inch. This is your current hat size and it is subject to change with weight loss and hairstyle, so measure every time you purchase a hat.

2. Measure the inside of a hat that already fits well with the measuring tape.

3. Wrap the interior band of the hat with a strip of foam to get it to fit right. This works with an existing hat that is too loose.
