How to Defeat the Werewolf in "MapleStory" for the iPod

The Savage Blow attack is particularly effective against the werewolf.

"MapleStory" is a role-playing adventure game for the iPod touch and iPhone that casts you as a thief tasked with saving the Maple World. Each level has a boss fight at the end that requires the use of various items and techniques in order to win. The werewolf is located in the Garden of Ruins level that is accessed through the world map. You must defeat the werewolf to complete the Garden of Ruins level and open a portal to the next world.

Instructions

1. Open the world map by tapping the compass icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

2. Tap the small town toward the top of the screen labelled "El Nath" to enter the Garden of Ruins level. Play through the level until you reach the werewolf at the end.

3. Remain in one of the lower corners of the screen until the werewolf runs at you.

4. Use a special attack -- such as Savage Blow -- when the werewolf is in range. Speed is essential so your attack lands before the werewolf reaches you.

5. Move to the opposite corner of the screen after landing a special attack on the werewolf. Wait for the werewolf to approach you again and then perform the same action. Switch corners after landing a special attack.

6. Use a "50% Healing Potion" from your inventory when your energy is low. Using the potion as soon as you reach the corner of the screen after landing a special attack gives you the most time to recover before the werewolf attacks again.

7. Repeat this action until the werewolf is defeated.

Tips & Warnings

• Buy as many "50% Healing Potion" items as you can afford before fighting the werewolf.

• The Savage Blow attack is particularly effective against the werewolf.
