How to Delete Dashboard Programs on an Apple & Skype
The Dashboard on Apple computers is a semitransparent strip that appears above your desktop, when made active by clicking its icon in the Dock (or by pressing F12). The Dashboard then provides quick access to preinstalled mini-applications known as widgets -- such as Apple's iCal, Stickies, Tile Game and Address Book. You can even add a Skype widget to your Dashboard, for one-click access to basic Skype functions. If you decide you no longer want Skype, you can easily delete the widget from your Apple Dashboard. The deletion process is just as simple for Skype developers who utilize the application's Skype Manager dashboard.
