How to Create Profiler Reports for ePO V.4
E Policy Orchestrator, or ePO, is a security software manufactured by leading network security experts McAfee, Inc. McAfee's ePO version 4 allows a network administrator to define a network-wide security profile and run reports of all systems on the network to ensure compliance with the organization’s security profile. For example, a security profile report may be constructed to query which PCs on the network are running all current operating system security patches. Profiler reports are constructed by setting up queries to run at specified intervals across the entire network.

Log on to the ePO verson 4 console as a network global administrator and click on the “Automation” button in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Click on the “New Task” button at the bottom left of the screen.

Enter a name for the profiler query in the “Name” box and enable the query status by checking the circle next to “enable” in the “Schedule Status” box. Click “Next.”

Under the question “What action do you want to take?” Select the answer “Run Query” from the drop-down menu. Display the list of pre-defined query options by clicking the drop-down menu next to “Query:” Scroll down to the list titled Public Query and select “ePO: Compliance Summary.” Ensure English is selected in the “Required Language” drop-down menu. Select “Generate Compliance Event” in the “Tag Query” drop-down menu and either enter a percentage of PCs on the network on which to run the query, or enter the exact number of network PCs on which to run the query. Click “Next.”

Enter the time interval in which to run the query from the drop-down menu next to “Schedule Type.” Enter the start and end dates for the query plus the time of day at which to run the query. Click “Next.”

Review the scheduled query parameters and if you're satisfied, click “Save” at the bottom of the screen. The security profiler report query will run regularly at the scheduled interval during the time frame specified and the corresponding reports will be generated.
