How to Make a Satin Fabric Floret
Satin fabric florets are essentially flowers created out of satin that are used to spruce up headbands, hair clips and pins. Purchasing the satin fabric flowers from a store can be somewhat expensive; however, creating your own satin floret will allow you to personalize the flower for your personal needs. These headbands, hair clips and pins with satin fabric flowers can make excellent gifts for all types of girls and women. Things You'll Need
- Cardstock
- Pencil
- Satin fabric
- Lighter
- Tea light
- Needle and matching thread
- Beads, 2-3 per flower
- Glue gun (optional)
- Headband or hair clip (optional)

Cut out three cardstock circles in various sizes (one small, one medium and one large) to be the three layers of your satin flower.

Trace the cardstock circles onto your satin fabric. Cut out the three satin circles.

Cut evenly spaced 1/4- to 1/2-inch slits around the circles to simulate the petals of the flower.

Light your small tea light candle. Very carefully hold the fabric over the flame and slowly burn the edges of the satin slightly.

Place the circles together in a stack going from largest on the bottom to smallest on the top. Stitch the layers together with two to three small beads in the center of the flower.

Attach the satin floret to either a headband or hair clip using a hot glue gun.
