How to Install Curtains on a French Door
There are many fabrics available for curtains on a French door, including silk, lace and sheer. These three fabrics are light and translucent enough to allow light in, while still offering a little privacy. You can also select a thicker fabric that will effectively block light and offer more privacy. Installing French door curtains is slightly different than installing window curtains, as French door curtains have both top and bottom rods. Does this Spark an idea?

Measure the length and width of the glass on the French door. Add 4 inches to the length, and 2 inches to the width. This is the size curtain you will need for each door.

2
Mark a drill location with a pencil. The mark should be 2 inches above or below the glass panel, and extend 1 inch wider than the glass.
-
-
3
Draw a straight line between the top left and top right drill marks. Place a level on the line to make sure the line is straight. Repeat the process for the bottom left and bottom right drill marks.
-

Drill pilot holes in the French door using an electric drill.
-

Screw the rod mounts into each pilot hole, using the included screws and an electric drill or a Phillips screwdriver.
