How to Move a Camera in ZBrush

In a 3-D modeling application such as ZBrush, it is important to move around your objects so that you can view all aspects of the design. To navigate, you move the virtual camera in the application to access different parts of your model, or landscape. You navigate by using a mouse and keyboard combination. While some of the actions may feel alien at first, once you are used to them, you will be able to quickly move the camera.

Instructions

    • 1

Rotate around an object by left-clicking and dragging the mouse around. Whichever direction you move the mouse, the camera will rotate.

    • 2

Pan around the object by holding "ALT," then left-clicking and dragging the mouse. Instead of rotating, the "ALT" key ensures that the camera pans.

    • 3

Scale by holding the "ALT" key, left-clicking outside of the workspace and dragging -- as you do let go of "ALT." This scales and zooms in 3-D.

    • 4

Press "ALT" then single-click somewhere to frame the object or item.
