Instructions

    • 1

Apply mousse to your dry hair by squeezing a quarter-size portion into your hands and working it through your roots. Blow dry wet hair before attempting this style.

    • 2

Grab about 3 inches of hair in the center of your head. Imagine you are going to rock a Mohawk -- that’s how you know you have enough hair in the section.

    • 3

Use a comb with closely set teeth and start teasing the 3-inch section of hair. Start about two to three inches back and work the comb forward. Spray the section of hair you just teased with extra hold hairspray.

    • 4

Tease the rest of your faux hawk with the fine-tooth comb, spraying each section when finished.

    • 5

Arrange the rest of your hair into a high ponytail that highlights your tease and wrap the ponytail with an elastic band. Smooth down the hair on the sides of your head, leaving just the teased section high and fashionable.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add an extra touch of high fashion to your high ponytail by taking a 1-inch section of hair from the bottom of the ponytail and wrapping it around the elastic band. Secure the end of the section beneath your ponytail with a bobby pin.
