How to Attach Combs to a Flower Girl Headpiece

Attach combs to the flower girl's headpiece to hold it in place.

Flower girl headpieces can be delicate as well as elaborate. Attaching a headpiece to combs is one of the most efficient ways to place it in the flower girl's hair and keep it in place. Choose a clear comb or one that matches the color of the flowers and is small enough to hide under the headpiece but large enough that it will hold the hair in place; try it on before adding the hairpiece to it.

Things You'll Need

• Floral wire
• Glue
• Scissors

Instructions

1. Wrap matching floral wire around the base of the headpiece. For example, if the headpiece consists of flowers, wrap the wire around the stems very close to the base of the flowers. Tuck one end of the wire under itself as you wrap and leave several inches of the other end free.

2. Wrap the free end of the floral wire around the edge of the comb, pulling the headpiece as close to the comb as possible. Dab glue so the wire securely attaches to the headpiece, itself and the comb.

3. Cut off any loose ends and add glue wherever the headpiece seems loose. Allow it to dry completely.
