If you have been receiving unwanted phone calls to your cellphone, whether it be from telemarketers, someone harassing you or spam, you can block the numbers from calling your phone again. For telemarketers, you can add your number to the National Do Not Call Registry, which will automatically block any telemarketers from contacting you. If you are an AT&T or Verizon Wireless user, you can block phone numbers using additional services. Other cellphone carriers that include Sprint and T-Mobile do not have any options to block phone numbers as of October 2011.
Go to AT&T's Smart Controls page.
Click "Order Now" under "AT&T Smart Limits for Wireless." The cost is $4.99 per month as of October 2011.
Enter your AT&T wireless account information to add the service.
Enter the phone numbers you wish to block. Click "OK."
Log into your Verizon Wireless account online.
Click "My Services."
Enter up to five phone numbers to block under "Spam Control." Click "OK" to save.
