How to Root a Cricket Zio M6000
The Cricket Sanyo Zio M6000 is an entry level Android smart phone. Like all Android devices, the operating system locks system files in the root directory by default. The process for removing the restrictions is called rooting. The main advantage to rooting your Zio is installing third-party applications that give the phone enhanced capabilities, like the ability to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Rooting is also an essential step in changing to a customized version of the Android OS, or flashing the phone for use in another carrier. You can root the Zio M6000 in one click using a program called z4root.
