Instructions

    • 1

Pour the color or dye remover into a stainless steel pot filled with simmering water. Keep the pot on low heat so it continues to simmer. Follow the package directions.

    • 2

Submerge the damp shirt that you want to undye, and stir with a stainless steel spoon.

    • 3

Simmer for as little as 10 minutes or as long as an hour, on very low heat. Check frequently to see how light the shirt is getting. The dye should slowly remove itself, along with bleach spots and discolorations. Stirring frequently speeds the process.

    • 4

Remove the shirt from the simmering pot and wash it with detergent in a hot-water wash cycle.

    • 5

Remove the shirt after the wash cycle is complete. If any dye remains, repeat the removal process before drying the shirt.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never again use for food the stainless steel pot that you used to remove the dye.
