How to Troubleshoot a LGR5636EQ3
The LGR5636EQ3 is a relatively old Whirlpool super-capacity gas dryer that is out of production. Because of its age, acquiring proper support for this model can be frustrating, especially if you need to purchase new parts. However, relatively simple concerns such as insufficient or improper drying probably can be resolved by following a few simple troubleshooting steps. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

Unsatisfactory Drying
-
1
Clean the lint screen.
-
2
Run the dryer for 5 to 10 minutes, and place your hand underneath the exhaust hood to determine whether there is any air movement. If there is little or no air movement, replace the exhaust vent with a more flexible metal vent.
-
-
3
Replace the fuse or reset the breaker if the dryer runs but does not produce heat.
-
4
Make certain the "Cycle Control" knob is not set on air dry.
-
5
Limit one softener sheet per load to prevent the sheets from blocking the exhaust grill.
-
6
Move the dryer to a new room or location if the current room's temperature is lower than 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
7
Separate very large loads to ensure the clothes can tumble freely and dry efficiently.
Dryer Does Not Run
-
8
Make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into a working outlet.
-
9
Check whether your home fuses or circuit breakers have been tripped or blown.
-
10
Consider replacing a blown fuse with a time-delay fuse.
-
11
Make sure the dryer door is tightly closed. The dryer will not run if the door is ajar.
-
12
Try pressing the "Start" button again.
-
13
Determine whether the "Cycle Control" knob is set to a specific cycle or time that prevents it from operating as expected.
