How to Not Tangle Your Wig
Good wig care is essential for making your synthetic and human hair pieces look real and attractive. Keeping tangles at a minimum will give wigs a smooth look and keep larger snarls at bay. Learning how to wear and store your wig with minimum handling is the best way to reduce matting and knots. Place the wig in a sink of warm water and add 1 teaspoon of gentle shampoo to the water. Wash the hair using a scrunching motion with your hands. Do not roughly squeeze the wig. Rinse it in cool, not hot, water until it the suds are gone.

Roll the wig up in a towel and gently squeeze the excess water from the wig. Do not towel dry or blow dry the wig as this may cause melting and tangling. Place the wig on a foam head form and allow it to completely air dry.

Brush dry hair, starting at the tips working upwards to the scalp while the wig is still on the form. Use a wig brush or a wide-toothed comb, not a vent brushed or heated brush. Avoid brushing wet wigs.

Spray the ends of the wig with wig conditioner to prevent tangling during wear. Cover your wig with a head scarf when stepping outdoors to prevent winds from tangling it.

Tips & Warnings
Don't swim in your wig or use bleach products on it. This can dry out the hair fibers making them tangle more easily.
