1
Draw a semi-circle along the long edge of the foam piece. To draw a perfect semi-circle, use a soup can or rounded jar. Place the bottom of the can against the foam so that half the can overlaps the foam and trace around the soup can with a pencil.

2
Cut through the foam along the rounded curve with a hot wire foam cutter, which will allow for a smooth and precise cut. Alternatively, use a long serrated knife for this task. Discard the bottom piece so that you are left with the shape of a bridge archway.

3
Paint the foam gray to resemble stone. Use non-toxic paint, even the cake topper will be discarded before the cake is cut.
-
4
Add moss to make the archway appear weathered and integrated with nature. Cut tiny patches of artificial moss and use a glue stick to attach moss here and there to the top of the bridge and along the sides.

5
Use cake dowels to support the cake topper and keep it level. Poke the sharp ends of the dowels through the archway on each side. Prop in cake by pushing the opposite ends into cake. Alternatively, use an ornament base in between the cake topper and the top tier of the cake.
