How to Clear Skype Chat History on the iPhone
The Skype application for the iPhone stores your chat history in the bottom tab labeled "Chats." These chats are stored until you delete them from your Chats tab. Deleting saved chats can free up room on your iPhone and help the Skype app run more quickly and efficiently, as well as keep your chat history organized. At first glance, it may seem difficult to clear your Skype chat history, as there is no obvious button to do this. However, the process simply requires a swiping movement over the chat to reveal the "Delete" option.

Press the "On" button at the top of your iPhone and swipe your finger across the "Unlock" bar to unlock your device.

Locate the Skype app icon on your iPhone's home screen. Tap the Skype icon to open the application.

Tab the tab at the bottom of the screen labeled "Chats" to open your chat history.

Swipe your finger from left to right across the chat you want to delete. Tap the red "Delete" button at that appears over the chat to clear it from your chat history. Repeat this action to clear each chat you no longer want to save.
