Instructions

  1. Fabric Marker

    • 1

Rinse the bleach out of the fabric and dry the clothes item.

    • 2

Use a black fabric marker to cover the bleach spots. Go over the spot a few times.

    • 3

Let the area dry, then repeat the procedure.

    Dye

    • 4

Spot dye the pants. Put on a pair of rubber gloves and empty 1/2 cup hot water into a small bucket with 1 teaspoon of fabric powder dye. Stir the dye around until it dissolves in the water.

    • 5

Lay down some old newspaper or a small garbage bag on a flat surface. Dip a cotton ball, swab or an old cloth into the dye mix.

    • 6

Rub the dye onto each of the bleach spots and let it sit for about 20 minutes. To set the dye quicker, run a hot iron over the spots a few times.

    • 7

Turn the pants inside out and wash them in your washing machine with cold water and a mild detergent. Hang the pants to dry.
