Things You'll Need
- Plastic pond pot
- Scissors
- Gravel
- Plastic tubing
- Evaporative cooling pad

Cut a section of evaporative cooling pad so that it matches the dimensions of the base of your pond pot. These cooling pads are designed for filtration.

Cut more of the pad and line the sides of the pot.

Cut a length of plastic tubing and insert it into the pot. Cut the tubing the length it will take to connect to the exterior water supply.

Add gravel to the pot to secure the cooling pad and tubing.

Place the pot at the bottom of your koi pond and attach the end of the tubing to your fresh water supply. Or, if you have a waterfall, remove the tubing and place the pot underneath the waterfall and let it filter that way.
