Instructions

    • 1

Shower the night before waxing and thoroughly clean the bikini area. Do not apply lotions, oils or powders.

    • 2

Trim pubic hair to approximately 1/4 inch.

    • 3

Apply baby powder to entire pubic region.

    • 4

Heat wax in the microwave according to package instructions.

    • 5

Allow wax to cool for 1 minute.

    • 6

Place a hand mirror between your legs so that you can see the entire surface you wish to wax.

    • 7

Dip wood applicator into the wax.

    • 8

Apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of hair growth with the wooden applicator to the mons pubis. This area is the most accessible. The applicator should be held at a 90-degree angle as you apply the wax.

    • 9

Press the strip to wax immediately and smooth it down firmly in the direction of hair growth.

    • 10

Pull skin taut with one hand.

    • 11

Rip off the strip and wax with your other hand. This should be done in the opposite direction of the hair growth in one quick, fluid motion.

    • 12

Repeat these steps, moving from the mons pubis, to the labia and toward the anus, until the desired results are met.

    • 13

Pluck any remaining hairs with tweezers.

    • 14

Apply lotion with salicylic acid to the waxed areas to prevent ingrown hairs.

Tips & Warnings

  • When removing a wax strip, do not pull the strip straight up as this will be quite painful. Pull the strip forward.

  • Excess wax on the skin can be removed with baby oil.

  • Take an over-the-counter painkiller an hour before waxing to lessen pain.

  • Make sure to allow the wax time to cool before applying it to your skin as hot wax can cause burns.

  • Skin is very sensitive when you are on your menstrual cycle, so it is not recommended to wax during this time.
