How to Arrange Invitation Inserts With a Pocket Invitation

A wedding invitation is the first glimpse that your guests will get of your wedding, which, for most people, is one of the most important days of their lives. You want a beautiful, well-organized invitation that gets your guests excited to attend your wedding. Most wedding invitations come with a few enclosures, so using a pocket invitation is an ideal way to keep the inserts organized. Follow proper etiquette when inserting your enclosures into the invitations to make a good impression on your guests and keep everything in the correct order.

Instructions

    • 1

Place your reception card on top of the other inserts, as this is the enclosure that you want your guests to see first. The reception is a major part of your wedding day, so other inserts, such as registry cards, are secondary to it.

    • 2

Arrange the response card and its accompanying envelope behind the reception card. Place the envelope face-down, and tuck the response card under the flap.

    • 3

Put any additional enclosures underneath the response card. This additional items may include enclosures such as maps and directions to the ceremony and reception sites and your gift registry cards.

    • 4

Secure the enclosures in the invitation pocket, so they are intact and in the correct order when your guests open the envelope.
