How to Glaze a Wall With Golden Highlights
When you apply glaze over your wall paint, you may want to use something more interesting than clear glaze, such as a glaze that contains different pigments or particulates. For example, apply wall glaze that contains golden highlights, which will make your wall appear as if it is covered in a decorative patina. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Washcloth
- Paint tray
- Latex glaze with golden highlights
- Paintbrush, 2 inch flat
- Paint roller

Moisten a washcloth with water, then wipe off the painted wall to remove any dirt and debris. Allow the wall to air-dry for 30 minutes.

Fill the bottom of a paint tray with latex wall glaze that contains golden highlights.

Dip a 2-inch, flat paintbrush into the golden-tinged glaze and paint the glaze along the ceiling edge, floor edge and corner edges of the walls.

Roll a paint roller back and forth in the golden glaze, then roll the glaze over the entire wall. Allow the glaze to air-dry for eight hours.

Apply more layers of glaze over the first layer if you want the golden highlights to be more visible. Allow each layer to air-dry for eight hours before applying another layer.
