How to Make a JKF-22 Raptor Paper Plane

A JKF-22 Raptor plane is a fighter jet used by the United States Air Force. The jet has a distinctive shape, with narrow wings and a flat body. This fighter plane was built for stealth and it looks unlike most other planes in the world. Forming this plane from paper is somewhat of a challenge, but when finished, the paper version looks remarkably like the real fighter plane. Make the plane from gray or black paper to make it look even more impressive.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold the paper in half. Open the paper and fold it in half the other way, creating a point in the center of the paper.

    • 2

Fold the bottom edge of the paper up toward the center line. Open the fold. Bring the bottom fold to the center line of the paper, creating a fold midway between the two folds.

    • 3

Fold the bottom right corner up toward the center so that the two center lines in the middle of the paper align with the same lines on the folded flap. This should leave a border around the paper about two or three inches wide. Unfold the paper and repeat for the other side.

    • 4

Bring the two bottom corners of the paper in toward the middle. They should naturally fold under to create a triangle point at the base of the paper. Fold the two sides of the top triangle in toward the center to create a narrow triangle.

    • 5

Flip the paper over. Fold the two back sides of the paper in to the middle of the paper. This should make a diamond shape with the paper.

    • 6

Turn the paper over. Fold the top flaps of the triangles out at a 45 degree angle about half way down the triangle, creating wing flaps on either side of the diamond shape. Fold the paper in half lengthwise, matching the two sides of the flaps together.

    • 7

Fold the two triangle flaps up over the body of the plane, securing the fold. Open the body of the plane. Cut two small horizontal lines near the nose of the plane, about one or two inches from the nose. Only cut the side flaps, and not the body of the plane.

    • 8

Fold the two cut flaps under the nose, making the front of the nose narrower, and securing the body of the plane together. Fold the longer wings in half lengthwise.

    • 9

Fold the back flaps up toward the nose and away from the body of the plane at a 45-degree angle. Make a small fold in the paper, then flip the flap back up, so that it sticks straight up rather than leaning off to one side of the plane.

    • 10

Fold the corners of the upright flaps in toward the body of the plane, making a rounded back wing.

    • 11

Fold the top half-inch of the body of the plane over to secure the body pieces together. Push down the back half of the body to flatten it. This completes the plane.
