How to Have a Flyer in an Email
Years ago, the only way to get flyers around was by posting them on bulletin boards or passing them out by hand. Nowadays, however, you have the ability to distribute flyers electronically via email to anyone with an email address. To embed a flyer in your email message it has to be an image file, such as a JPEG image or PDF. Otherwise, you can use the “Attachment” feature, which, as the name suggests, allows you to attach a file to your email message.

Embed it in Your Email

Scan your flyer into your computer if it isn’t already in your computer. To do this, place the flyer in the bed of your scanner and press the “Scan” button. Follow the onscreen prompts from your scanner software on your computer to save the flyer as a digital image file.

Open your email program or log in to your webmail service. Click on the “New Email Message” option. Type in the email address(es) you want to send the flyer to, add a title for the email, and type a personal message, if desired.

Click on the "Insert Photo," or similarly-named button in the menu bar of your email program and navigate to the location of the flyer image on your computer.

Double-click on the image file to embed the flyer in your email message. If you're using a webmail service, navigate to the location of the flyer image and then click and drag it into the message body of your email message and it will automatically be embedded in your email.

Click the "Send" button when ready to send your email message with the flyer embedded in it.
Attach it to Your Email

Open your email program or log in to your webmail service and enter the desired message details.

Click on the “Attach File” or “Attachment” button in the menu bar of the new email message and navigate to the location of the flyer file on your computer.

Double-click on the flyer file to attach it to your email message and then click the “Send” button. Your flyer email will now be sent out.
