How to Fix a Sunken Mattress
Instead of having a flat, firm surface, a sunken mattress has a noticeable sag, with a divot in the center or off to one side. This sunken quality is a sign that the mattress needs to be replaced, but if you do not have the money or the time to do so, make a quick fix. While you will still need to replace the mattress eventually, the fix helps you get more comfortable sleep until you do so. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
If you have only a limited amount of plywood, cut several pieces that together can cover the box spring and lay them together end to end. For extra security, use brackets to connect them.
Place the mattress on the floor for an even quicker solution. While this lacks the visual attractiveness of a box spring and bed frame, the floor supports the mattress more thoroughly.
Purchase an air bladder that is meant to sit between the mattress and the box spring. When the bladder is in place, pump it up until the sunken spot is filled in and supported.
