How to Edit Masterpage Elements in InDesign
You can edit any file with the ".indd" extension with Adobe InDesign. However, you might run into some objects and shapes that you cannot manipulate, move or delete. If these objects are present in other pages of the InDesign document, then the objects are on the master page. Open the master page so you can do the necessary edits there.

Click "Window" from the Adobe InDesign menu bar and go to "Pages" to bring up the Pages panel.

Double-click any of the page icons next to a "Master" label so you can see the editable objects in the workspace. The document may have multiple master pages, such as "A-Master" and "B-Master," so choose the one you want to edit.

Use the tools on the left toolbar to make the necessary edits. For instance, use the "Selection Tool" to select any objects you couldn't select in your pages, then move or delete them.
