How to Keep a MAC Eyeshadow Palette From Breaking
The MAC Pro Palette eye shadow holder comes in 4-pan and 15-pan varieties. These empty cases have round indentations designed to hold MAC shadows, or "pans." The shadow pans are small metal cups filled with pressed powder shadow. Because the MAC Pro Palette is made of plastic, dropping a full one can lead to breakage of the shadows inside. Proper care and storage of your Mac Pro Palette will help minimize the risk of shadow breakage. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Write the names of the shadows stored in the palette on a sticky note. Press the sticky note on the back of the palette, and update it when you change shadows or add new ones. Knowing exactly which shadows are in each palette minimizes the number of times you have to open and risk dropping it.
-
2
Use your Mac Pro Palette in a room with a carpeted floor, or while sitting on a soft surface such as a bed. Do not take the chance of dropping it on a hard floor.

3
Store the palette in a padded makeup bag whenever you must travel with it.
-
4
Pack your padded makeup bag between layers of clothing for additional padding during travel.
-
5
Store the palette in a safe spot when not in use. Don't leave it in a drawer full of items that get knocked around a lot or on the edge of a shelf in your bathroom cabinet. A dresser drawer filled with clothing or other soft objects is the ideal storage space.
