How to Vent a 2-Valve Ball
Ball valves are used to open and close a supply pipe. Supply pipe is used for water or gas, and may require the use of a ball valve. A double-ball valve has two stems that you can use to close the valve. A valve of this type provides an easy way to block the supply line and to bleed excess air. This is done by utilizing the vent stem that is provided with an external vent ball valve. Does this Spark an idea?

Close one of the stems on the ball valve when you need to shut off the water. Open the vent stem on the side of the valve, to vent excess air from the water line.
