How to Get an Integrated Webcam to Work With MSN

Windows Live Messenger, formerly known as MSN Messenger, is an application from Microsoft Corporation that allows its users to chat by sending text, audio and video messages. To broadcast video on Windows Live Messenger, you need either a standalone or an integrated webcam. You can get your integrated webcam to work with Windows Live Messenger by using a dedicated wizard.

      Launch Windows Live Messenger by clicking the application's shortcut in your Windows Start Menu. Sign into the service if the program doesn't automatically log you in.

      Open the "Tools" menu and select "Set up audio and video devices... ."

      Click "Next." Select your webcam from the drop-down menu. The box under the menu should now display the live feed generated by your webcam.
